Tax Bills

Tax bills are issued twice a year. An interim tax bill, based on 50% of the previous year tax levy, is issued May 1st due May 31st; the final tax bill, which reflects any changes in assessed value and/or tax rates, is issued September 1st due September 30th.

The total amount billed must be paid by the due date to avoid interest charges. Interest is calculated at a rate of 1% per month (12% per annum) or any portion thereof.

Accounts two years in arrears are subject to Tax Sale proceedings.

Capital installment billings (sewer, street paving, water etc) are issued September 1st due September 30th.

Interest is calculated at the end of each month on the outstanding balance or any portion thereof.
